Dag 24
Tijdens het onbijt besluiten we een strandwandeling naar rechts te maken. We smeren ons, zoals elke ochtend, in met P20, een sunblocker die heel de dag werkt, en gaan op weg. Onderweg verzamelen we heel veel sepiaschilden en schelpen en na ruim 2 uur lopen komen we in het plaatsje Kumende waar ze de grote visserboten die je hier overal ziet bouwen. Het is er erg druk metvooral spelende kinderen en het bekende ‘o bruni’ ( blanke) wordt dan ook weer heel vaak geroepen. Dat is iets wat we langzamerhand wel erg zat worden. Sommige kinderen beantwoorden we met ‘bibini’, wat ‘bruine’ betekent. Het plaatsje is gelegen aan een baai die met vloed volloopt en waarvan de walkanten helemaal vol met afval liggen. Op veel plaatsen zie je dat de metershoge kant allemaal is opgebouwd uit lagen grond vermengd met plastic en ander afval. We gaan op zoek naar een taxi die ons naar Ko-Sa beach kan brengen en vinden deze op het centrale plein van het dorpje.
Terug in het resort gaan we een uurtje lekker zitten lezen in het grote restaurant/terras waar het Henry lukt een netwerk met 3G te selecteren waarmee hij het blog van de afgelopen dagen kan uploaden. Rond 15:30 uur gaan we nog even op het strand in de zon liggen.
Het diner is weer perfect. Marjolijn en Eva eten een Italiaanse maaltijdsalade en Ruben en Henry gaan voor de spagetti bolognese. Deze is heerlijk, met veel knoflook!
‘s Avonds tikt Henry dit stukje voor het blog en de anderen spelen Rummycup.
Morgen gaan we waarschijnlijk naar Cape Coast waar we een oud slavenfort zullen bezoeken.
